No. 109 Tunnel belongs to Baoji-Chengdu Railway.

At 14:28 on May 12, 2008, an 8.0 grade earthquake was occured in Wenchuan, Sichuan. The mountain rocks were collapsed and hit No. 21043 train in the 109 tunnel. With 500 tons of aviation fuel, the train was catching fire. The department sent rescue team immediately.

We participated the emergency repair of 109 tunnel and related railway section. Thanks to the high efficiency of self-drilling anchor installation, the maintenance process of tunnel was quick. And the railway was reopened at 10:31 on May 13.
